The eBirder of the Month challenge, sponsored by Carl Zeiss Sports Optics, will help you get more from your birding by harnessing the power of your mobile device. The eBirder of the Month will be drawn from eBirders who submit 30 eligible checklists with eBird Mobile in November. There’s no better time to try the free eBird Mobile app for Android and iOS. eBird Mobile makes eBirding easier, faster, and more accurate than using pen and paper, even when you don’t have a cellular or wifi connection.

eBird Mobile provides easy Quick Entry shortcuts and checklists customized for your location and time of year, offering real-time feedback on whether a sighting is rare in the area. New Explore tools let you discover nearby Hotspots and search recent species reports with navigation directions to get you there faster. eBird Mobile can also help you calculate how long and how far you’ve been birding—so you can just focus on the birds! Get started with eBird Mobile here.

Checklists must be for observations made this month; not historical checklists entered during November. The winner will receive a new ZEISS Conquest HD 8×42 binocular and will be notified by the 10th of the following month. Each month we will feature a new eBird challenge and set of selection criteria. And don’t forget about the 2020 Checklist-a-day Challenge!
