On the 31st May 2024, the Atlas project came to a close after an amazing five years’ worth of Atlasing. This was a project that was dependent on a community united by a shared passion, and we’ve been blown away by how the community have come together to meet the aims of the project.
It’s time to finally announce the winner of our March Atlas challenge! The March challenge was a grid square themed challenge, with the goal of submitting to grid squares that had had less than two hours Autumnal effort so far in the Atlas eBird portal in order to try increase the Autumn season grid square coverage.
The Atlas team were excited to organise the final Toi Toi wines funded Atlas expedition to the Wairarapa region this April over the ANZAC Weekend. The key aim was to increase day and night effort across as much of the areas around the region as possible.
